Another long overdue blog post, but if you didn’t know – my twentieth birthday was a little over two weeks ago! My birthday falls right in the middle of recruitment, and school started up quickly after, and so until this past weekend I hadn’t really had time to ~reflect~ on turning 20.
I’ve decided I most definitely don’t feel ‘older,’ but I am super excited for this new decade of life! No longer a teenager! I can’t say I’m terribly sad to say goodbye to my teenage years. Moving into an apartment and being an upperclassmen in college have really got me feeling like 20 is going to be such an adventure!
I’ve seen a lot of ‘__ Things You Didn’t Know About Me’ posts for other blogger’s birthdays, and I thought it would be really fun to give you guys some fun facts about myself that you may not know!! Here goes…
1. I’m a citizen of Ireland! I’ve never actually been, but I have an Irish passport and everything! Definitely high on my list of places to travel to!
2. My initials spell ‘CAR’ – my mom did not realize this until I pointed it out three years ago… Lol!
3. I changed my major three times before deciding on Strategic Communication!! You can read more about that journey here.

4. When I was around 6 or 7 I auditioned for Disney Channel. No, I’m not (and never have been) an actress. And no, I did not get the part…
5. My favorite TV show is New Girl – it makes me laugh out loud constantly! Schmidt and Cece are everything.
6. I’ve been to five (about to be six) Taylor Swift concerts. She really is amazing in concert!!
7. My first car was a Prius, and I named her Phyllis. Everyone thought it was weird at first, but all my friends and family actually refer to her as Phyllis to this day 😂 I still drive her when I go home!
8. I’ve played golf since I was four years old! My dad signed me up for lots private lessons and camps when I was little. I was on the varsity team all through high school, and was the captain my senior year. I actually miss it a lot, and try to get out on the course with my old teammates when I can!
9. I don’t drink coffee. Ever. It makes me feel so gross! But I’m obsessed with coffee ice cream!

10. I’ve lived in the Bay Area my whole life (aside from going to college in Texas) and I fully intend on moving back after graduating. I love Fort Worth, but I’m definitely a California girl at heart!
11. Even though I’m 20, I still call my mom at least once a day. #adulting am I right??
12. I’m very opinionated. I get that from my dad! Everyone says I should be a lawyer, but I’m not convinced.

13. I have two younger brothers named Dean and Will. For some reason, most people seem to only know about one or the other, so I felt the need to clarify 😂
14. My first ‘real’ job was working at Nordstrom when I was 16! I loved it and learned so much!
15. I’m obsessed with to-do lists and planners. Something about planning out my week and crossing things off my to-do lists makes me SO happy!
16. My mom and I are obsessed with Lifetime movies. They’re so bad they’re good! We always joke about writing a script for our own Lifetime movie 😂 If you’re also into a good Lifetime movie, or you just want to know what the deal is, our favorites are Deadly Adoption and Stolen From the Womb. Yes, those are seriously the titles.
17. I hate taking medicine. I’ll try to avoid taking medication at all costs – even things like Advil! Something about it freaks me out a little bit. But if my doctors prescribe me something or I’m really not feeling well, I will!

18. Over half my closet is made up of stripes and white shirts. What can I say, I know what I like!!
19. I don’t love cooking, but baking is one of my favorite things to do! I make really good cookies and scones, if I do say so myself.
20. If I could only watch one movie for the rest of my life it would be Mamma Mia! It just puts me in such a good mood no matter how many times I’ve seen it!!
