Life lately has been busy, busy, busy.
I have so much going on, things that are stressful, exciting, and everything in between! If anyone reading my tiny piece of the internet noticed, I took a week off last week, so I thought I’d explain what I’ve been up to.
Family
Last weekend was family weekend, and it was so much fun having my parents and brothers here at TCU! We ate lots of good food, played a lot of TopGolf (big hit with the Ruskin fam) and made it through half of the TCU vs. SMU game (it was hot okay!).
Both my parents have visited before, but this was the first time my brothers go to see TCU! I was so excited to share this part of my life with them and show them around.
My dad took some time to assemble my bedside table (it had been sitting in my car for nearly a month…) so my room is slowly but surely getting finished! I am trying my hardest to finish up the gallery wall!!
I had the best weekend, but between visiting with my family and an accounting quiz on Monday (ugh) I didn’t have time to get a post up for y’all.
Work
I recently started working as a sales rep for The Greek Years! I am so excited about this opportunity! If any of you are in sororities, I’m sure you are always buying shirts on the T-Shirt Swap pages – my job is to post shirts for all you wonderful Phi Mu sistas to buy! It’s so fun getting to work with this company and meet all the wonderful ladies who work alongside me.
School
Here’s the stressful part. I have been struggling this semester with where I want to go after college, what I want to do, and ultimately with what my major should really be. I’m currently Pre-Business and was planning to major in Marketing, but now I’m not sure if that’s the best route for myself.
Last year I was convinced I had it all figured out, and now nothing seems for sure! For someone like me who wants to have every little detail of life planned out, this is a huge challenge to accept.
I’ve done a lot of talking with my mom, my best friends, and the faculty at TCU. I will probably write a post more in-depth once I figure it all out, but for now sharing just a little bit of the struggle is helping. I know it’s so so normal to have these struggles/feelings during college, but it’s definitely hard nonetheless!
Phi Mu
If y’all didn’t already know, I’m a Phi Mu at TCU! And this is probably my most exciting update: I’M A BIG!
I’m going to share a post all about the big/little baskets and our reveal, but for now, here she is! Here name is Lindi and I couldn’t be more excited! We immediately bonded over our blogs while eating Steel City Pops and look at us now (still eating Steel City – lol)! Y’all should definitely go check out her blog (thelindihop.com)!
That’s all for now, thanks for catching up!
xx, C
