Hello hello! I’m back with Part 2 of my family’s vacation to Italy this summer. We spent the second week of our trip in Umbria, which is close to Tuscany! It was beautiful, and definitely more relaxing than the first part of our vacation!
Day Trips
Assisi
We took quite a few day trips during our time in Umbria! The towns have narrow cobblestone streets and so many old churches and buildings. And the views were amazing! Assisi and Gubbio were my favorites!

Gubbio was on the side of a hill, so we took a funicular up to the top – it was really cool but also a little terrifying! Check out my insta-story highlight to see more!!

We also spent a day at the lake, although it’s not a lake you really want to swim in. Instead my mom and I took the fairy over to a small island and hiked up to the top! Obviously I was not prepared for a hike judging by my shoe choice!
The Villa
Despite all our day trips, most of our time was spent at the villa we rented in Umbria! Here is the view from the kitchen – it was amazing! We loved watching the sunset and looking out at the view.
Here’s one of the outdoor patio areas – we ate dinner out here the nights we stayed in! One night we even had a cooking lesson and served dinner out here. We learned to make ravioli and tiramisu! It was amazing.

There was also an infinity pool on the property, which was the best. It was pretty cold, but I managed to get in a couple times! Most of the time I sat and read by the pool though.

That’s it for my Italy recap! I know it wasn’t terribly informative, but I hope it was worth the wait!
