It is officially Christmas time in my book, and I’m so ready! I love Thanksgiving, but I can’t wait to get the Christmas tree up and to listen to all the Christmas music my heart desires without any criticism.
For Thanksgiving my mom and I always forget to get anything for the table, and it always just looks a little sad… but this year, we remembered! On Wednesday we ran out to Homegoods and put together this super simple, but super festive, tablescape. It was perfect for Thanksgiving, but also easily carries into the Christmas season (the garland even has bells on it!).
The garland was $30 from Homegoods – they had so many options, but this was one of the few without sparkles. We wrapped this one around, but if you have a longer table you might want to grab two of them. We bought additional pinecones from Whole Foods that were scented and made the whole dining room smell like cinnamon! Then we just added in candlesticks my mom already had and tea lights on the most adorable wooden blocks that we stacked on top of each other. My favorite part was that we put brown paper down as a sort of table runner and wrote place settings in gold Sharpie! This is an awesome idea if you have kids at the table – they can draw on it for entertainment!
This was so simple to put together, but really made the whole table! Plus, it’s low enough that you can still see everyone across the table and it doesn’t block conversation. This isn’t my usual kind of post, but I just loved how it turned out and wanted to share! Plus, I’m sure you’re a bit sick of all the Black Friday posts. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving and that you’re getting in the Christmas spirit this weekend!!
xx, c
