I shared all of these photos from the historical walking tour of Diablo homes on IG over the weekend, but had to make a permanent place on the blog for these beautiful homes! I’ll share the tidbits I accurately remember, but really it’s all about the exteriors for this post. The one pictured above is my dream!!
This photo is actually only one building on this property (which I believe was added on) and next door is this home’s ‘sister cottage’ – the two homes were built by sisters who wanted to live next door to each other! The homes were similar styles and almost mirrored each other. Love!
Here is where they used to keep horses back in the day! I can’t remember exactly what types of palm trees these are, but they are planted all around the Diablo neighborhood and when they were young used to create beautiful green ‘walls’ to keep homes private.
This house was originally all wood (now brick on the bottom level), and was moved from a bit further down the road to its current spot. The wrap around porch gives me Southern vibes!
This house was so charming, and you can see the garden (which wraps around the house) from all windows on three out of four sides of the home!
Had to sneak a pic of this gorgeous front entry at the end of the tour! It’s rumored that Shirley Temple spent part of her honeymoon here – can’t be confirmed, but a fun rumor all the same!

I could truly walk around Diablo and stare at the beautiful homes all day! It was like Zillow IRL with a bonus history lesson!
